well tonight(july 14) my evo 9 is done and totaled...Driving down a road and ******* hits me from the back spun out and car hit this cable and basically smashed my whole passerger side...engine is still good and it starts thats a heads up but ******* hit and run basically and i was just there no1 else stoped to see if i was ok either...But i just wonder how much my insurance will go up 21 years old i have geico and i had gap insruance on the car too

good thing your ok, but seriously, why do other drivers go mad when they see a evo on the street.
this has happened so many times when I got my evo.

it sucks im ok but my car is done you know being 21 idk its just bad i didnt get any tickets but my car is done..the good thing is i was making 600 payments so no more of those maybe this time aorund i might stick to a honda since gas is going up

sorry to hear that man. as pationate as i am about cars, it is just a car. glad you're okay

 

a few reasons:

1) they are too dumb to realize that EVO's are finally in the states.
2) they don't believe it's ACTUALLY an evo
3) they wanna see if the "hype" is true
4) they are attracted to anything that has a "shopping cart" spoiler
5) they want to live in their own FnF world & race every car
6) they are jealous & can't afford 1 (or 2)
7) they want to carjack you but they can't keep up
8) they still believe that a V8 is the only way 2 go fast...

 

I have the rednecks around here in pickup trucks always cutting me off and being jerks in general. When I first got the car I had one drive really bad and flew up behind me twice like he was going to hit me. All this with my 1 year old son in the car he doesn't ride much with me anymore in the evo.

 

I had that happen to me, instead of speeding up i moved over and got his tag. I reported him and followed him for maybe 3miles before a state tropper pulled him over. I just drove by laughing at him. that will teach not to tailgate and drive overly agressive

 

Since my last post it happened again. Went to get some breakfast took the Evo and sure enough some younger kid in a older Chevy with clear lenses passes me in a turn on a road that is notorious for accidents and the speed limit is only 35. Then flies through a residental area going at least 50 in a 25. Well on the highway I blew past him like his brakes locked up but only up to the speed limit. Of course he went flying by a few mins later. Just something about the car brings out the worse in some people.

 

i thought it was just me,alot of people tailgate me i hate it. my girlfriend thinks im crazy,it must be the wing or the loud exhaust.
