Stupid dealership....wrong oil

Stupid dealership....wrong oil
I had an oil change done on friday at the dealership. They apparently used 5w30 Motorcraft Bulk oil instead of the required Mobil 1.
I'm going back tomorrow to b*tch at them for it and get it redone.
Question though...any change this would cause my engine to feel a little more sluggish or loss of power? Cuz the car seems very sluggish the past 2 days. At first i thought it was the clutch....but the way the RPMs tend to NOT want to go up rather than shoot up without the car moving leads me to believe otherwise.

it says it on the service invoice thing..... Motorcraft bulk 5w30 rather than the # quarts - Mobil 1 like in the past.
and i dont do it myself cuz i have no place to do it, no tools at my disposal, no way to deal with the old oil, and no time. plus i had to go to the dealership for something else at the same time.

It shouldn't cause that much of a difference that you would notice your car not revving properly. Actually, it might not be all bad to put the motorcraft in it for a few days. Might help clean the engine out. Synthetics have a high suspension and tend to hold tiny particles. Just take it back and have it changed. I'd be shocked if it fixes it, but hey, odd things happen every day.

id be shocked as well since it doesnt seem like something that would cause that problem...but nothing else has changed recently

5 w 30 is a good weight for high revs, its good for turbos they rev very high, also some engines have small oil ports for returns to upper head parts back to the oil pan, if you use too heavy weight oil it could very well clog up.

Chewie, I don't think crappy oil is causing this, but why take a chance. Go back and demand they change it for free.
True. I usually throw in 10w30 for the summer months tho.

I always stand nearby when they are doing an oil change... luckily I was there everytime because I have seen them use the wrong oil filters twice and told them it was the wrong ones
