ECU blocking

I have an Evo IX with the Euro specs, It's an IX with the MR specs, Bilstien shocks, 6 speed, BBS rims etc etc..
The Mitsu dealer told me that unlike the U.S spec, the IX's ECU that i have cant be retuned, as soon as the car gets modded and the ECU reads more air flow or such, it starts blocking which might cause the car to get damaged and loss of power by time.
Is it possible that the standard ECU cant be retuned?

It should be more valuable after we drop some MOABs on it.

Why in the world would you go to the dealer and ask them about modifications?
They're trained to work on factory cars with factory parts.

I didnt ask the dealer about modds.
A friend of mine modded his car with the wrong parts, and lost alot of power i was with him while he took his car to the dealer to get it fixed and the evo tech there said that about the ECU.

Evidently the dealership stopped drug testing requirements prior to the hiring of the tech.

technically it's Massive Ordinance Air Blast, but it's also known as the Mother Of All Bombs. It's a 21600# bomb that carries a 18700# warhead. It's the replacement for the "daisy cutters" used since Vienam, and the largest "conventional" bomb currently in existance.

Tell me about it!
And whats even worse is that they only have ONE tech for the evo and was out of the country for 10 days.
