Clicks are not relevant to PSI. The RS on stock boost can be set to minimum. If you want to go stiffer, then just adjust it until it's where you want it. There is no preset amount that can be used for every car, and the psi is not measurable without doing a boost leak test.

it's probably something that you're gonna have to play with. start low and build your way up to the point right before you get surging.

You'll mainly hear/notice it at lower boost levels and part throttle. You'll definetely notice it when it happens especially if you have a cone filter on.

If it's spiking at 23 and leveling out at 20 then what's the problem?

I'm thinking the same thing.

Also:

Are you confusing the BOV with an MBC? The RS doesnt control your boost level.

Yeah, I don't know what you're asking. I gave you the answers in the first reply, then that answer has been repeated multiple times. The Forge UNOS MBC is what sets your boost. The BOV just holds it without leaking until you let off the gas. What's wrong with running 23->20 psi, and why are you afraid of hurting your turbo? If you tighten it too much, then it will start causing compressor surge, which can be felt as bucking when letting off from part throttle/partial boost.

JUST to be clear

RS VALVE.... Blow off valve.

The Forge RS valve has been specifically designed and engineered, to offer extreme flow rate capability, where other valves are just not up to it. Often when engines have been tuned by installing larger turbos or even software upgrades improved turbo response can be acheived by fitting the RS valve which has the greater internal mass air flow specification utilising an amazing 50mm (2") bore.

For fine tuning there is a variable spring preload incorporated and a ratchet type top adjuster that will allow for the positive and precise adjustment that your driving style demands. To ease installation a 360 degree adjustable vacuum hose connector
With a choice of inlet and outlet connections the RS valve can be matched to your engine perfectly

This valve incorporates a unique conical, progressive rate spring that can allow for the retention of boost pressure from 7 to 34 PSI depending on the individual user's application and level of adjustment.

lol, i love the picture refrences. i have the rs valve and i have it set all the way at the lowest setting on the spring that is recommended for the evo. also i dont know what mods you have but the evo is built to spike and go down like you said.
from what ive heard nothing seems to be wrong with the valve itself.....
