It's a photochop. If it existed already in a form that could be photographed, I would have heard about it from the press that gets first chop at anything MMC.

Well, it's a Japanese magazine, so the car is probably a 2004 model for Japan. Just an observation. 2005 for the US would be my guess, too.

Do you guys think USDM Evo will have a facelift next year? Given the fact that they took the 'VIII' out of the badge gives a hint about this car might not be change as frequently as before. Plus all the investment spend on crash test/emission... wouldn't it be too much for a limited production car to make $?

Just a thought...

There're lots of threads talked about that lately, and here's the pros and cons IMHO:

* Out of the box, STi offers more power, with DCCD and 6 speed that Evo lack of

* Evo gets Recaro seats and Momo steering wheel, STi got similar but
not as nice (pure personal preference)

* It's easier to find aftermarket parts for Evo than STi, since STi's
engine is different from any other STi in the world compare to Evo, which gets same engine except different ECU and turbo

* From my experience, Evo tends to understeer less than WRX (never
try STi before so I'm not sure if that'll be the case with DCCD)

* STi seems to be a more 'maintainence free' car compares to Evo

* Evo change body style more often than STi (in the past, at least), which makes STi looks longer lasting

To summarize, both are nice limited production cars, and you won't go
wrong getting either one of them.

However after reading all these
discussions from different forums I'll still go for Evo since I am
easier to find part for upgrade, plus it's $2000 cheaper and
I can use that for whatever I want. Did I mention smaller hp and
smaller engine displacement means cheaper insurance?

FYI Evo11v just post the C&R and MT article. You might wanna check that out as well.

Hope that helps.

Don't care if thats what it looks like or not, just as long as Canada finally gets a taste of Evo.

"SOUR GRAPES!"People really get angry because something new is coming out. I think it looks really sharp. They are pissed because they bought the one that is soon to get outdated.

Scoop is usually really close in their chops. I DON'T LIKE BIG FOG LIGHTS. That is my $.02

In the bottom left corner, it says, "HOW DOES A COLT EVO SOUND?"

Hmmmm, my guess is that MMC is done with the Lancer as the EVO platform. Colt will be the next Evolution base. Cool with me!

i wish that they would just raise the price of the evo and give us all the options they have over there. then the Sti would really look bad.
