Hey guys, my first mod!! Tein S-Techs installed for 270, good price or no? Also, are these good springs? I notice alot of people running them and I really like the ride hight. Thanks!

i have them, and they are fine... get an alignment after the install... there are better springs, but for the price, and if you aren't doing the road course, they are fine

Good deal.

They will be fine for a while, but your stock struts wouldn't last too long with them.

I've had two sets of springs since owning my evo -- the S-Techs and now Swifts. The S-techs dropped the far too much for me. Unless I drove REALLY carefully you would scrape the nose once in awhile. Plus, to me, I couldn't feel the weight transfer very well.

IMO, the Swifts are better, but they are more expensive. These are a linear spring vs a progressive spring. The drop is by the Swifts make the car appear level where the s-techs make the car look like it's going down hill...

If you are going to through out that type of coin I would look at Tanabe's as well. I've heard nothing but great reviews of those springs.

s techs suck you are going to blow out your stock stuts with those, you ruined the handling on a perfect car dont feel bad i did the same thing. get some basic coilovers that all u need tein, tanabe, omni something basic like that.the evo is so stiff unles your really traking the car the basic coilovers is all u need i got mt tanabe for 900.after the s-techs ruined my car.

H&R makes an excellent product. I've had a set (along with Bilsteins) on my GTI for ~11 years with no issues whatsoever.

That's what I'm going for! Just waiting on my buddy.

I did research on the Tein-S' and heard that they are too soft and the car sits too low. Good for looks, but not for your struts or overall suspension!

The Tein's go for like $99 on Ebay! Tempting for the price, but I want my suspension to last and a smoothe ride. I'll wait. Good luck with yours.
