Anyone read the new SCC issue? (56K DIE...)

Has anyone read the new issue of Sport Compact Car? It has an interesting article about the Japanese Evo IX. Some of you probably know about this. But for those who don't check out the article I decided to share with you all!

Enjoy!

I would be interested to see how much faster can a JDM Evo go around the track vs a USDM LSD Evo.

Wonder how expensive it would be to convert an EVO VIII to have a JDM IX AYC configuration? That would be sweet =)

From Best Motoring, the EVO 9 always run under 13 sec on 400m(1/4 mile) ! I believe the JDM EVO 9 is a lot of faster the USDM EVO 9 !!

I agree tlclee. Too bad they didn't do any laptimes or compare any with the USDM evo.

That is because they have higher octane than we do and 400m is under a 1/4 mile.

i would love to see the difference. im sure it would be noticeable with a novice driver but i actually think they would be almost the same with a professional driver. some people that i know that race say they dont like all the active diff and stuff. they like the RAW feeling

I could see that. I suppose there comes a point when the car is doing most of the work and less driver skill is required. I know I hate traction control in any car I've ever drove.

Just FYI

400 meters = 0.248548477 miles
