Achieved by a magazine, not me . Yeah, it could be a ringer, but so what? I'll have to link you to our Ford based forums, sorry .

Thats f#ckin great I was watching a motorweek show on the new 50th anniversary corvette it only runs a 13.5 at 100! That would be the best thing to see a 50,000 vette get smoked by a 30,000 sedan.

there is no way a svt cobra mustang runs 13.0... that thing is in the 12's easy, i hate magazine racers.. show me real time slips from owners cars, then i believe the numbers... we have member saying anything from 13.1?? - 14(obviously something went wrong ) same reason i don't believe the STI numbers, i want to see owners cars and what they run...

cool article

I've seen more than my fair share of '03 Cobras go 13s. Of course, poor drivers + IRS can do that to a car . But, yes, you're right. However, the times for the Z06, for example, seem to be pretty accurate. Magazine times are certainly no be all and end all of real life performance figures, but I thought some people might be interested in the article.

Hey.. A win can be had on any given day.. Whether you have a slow car or a fast car.. Its all in the driver and the conditions.. Keep that in mind and try not to take offense at every fast time out there, it really doesnt mean much in day to day driving.

One thing to keep in mind is that these tests are often done at test tracks not drag strips. The traction is not nearlly as good. It helps us and hurts cars like the SVT Cobra (or any other RWD car)
You have to look at the MPH to see if the car was "sick" or simply didn't have the grip it needed. My 2 cents

It's always fun to hear what others have to say about our cars. I numbers I saw I don't think are as close to right as others I have seen. Still lovin the Evo and I think it looks a hell of alot better then the SVT Cobra. I had mine sitting next to my 1st seen 390/390 Svt last night at a SVT dealer. When I get my new dig cam I will post pic's.

SVT is much faster than 13. I think they are recalling the block on them though...sooooo many have cracked their aluminum block that they switched to iron. BTW someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Earlier NA 4.6 cobras had aluminum blocks. However, when the 03s came out they decided that it wasn't strong enough to handle the boost so they switched to an iron block. So, all '03 Cobras already have iron blocks. '03 Cobras are a ***** to launch, but from a roll they are devastating.
