EGT gauge or wideband o2 for safety measure?

I have a boost gauge, looking for one more gauge for a safety measure. I don’t want a pillar gauges, don’t want 3 in the radio or pocket spot. Looking to add one more to the steering column.

Mods are in sig, want something to keep an eye on if something goes wrong in the fuel system, turbo etc...

What yall think?

I'll be the only one to say this, but if I were you I wouldn't get either.

Both things are GREAT to monitor, but mostly when you're tuning. It looks to me like you pay to have your car tuned, which isn't a bad idea at all, but I think the gauges would be a waste of money.

The factory ECU is great at self preservation, and if something DID go wrong, I doubt you'd be looking at the gauge in time to save anything.

I have a wideband in my car, and I rarely look at it, when I go WOT I'm too busy trying to watch the road =)

From what I've been told by AMS, you don't need either or you need both...if you're tuning. EGT with O2 will let you know if your car is pulling timing and some other things but unless your running stand-alone you shouldn't have to worry about it.

If you choice is one or the other, Id definitely lean toward the wideband. But like the others were saying, your only really gonna use it when your tuning.
