TurboTrix Evo Color.

On TurboTrix's website, there's that burnt orange evo, is there a special name for that color? I think I might have my car painted like that some day.

Call Turbotrix and ask them. they can probably give you the exact name of the color and the code for it.

i heard that its a patented color and that you have to get permission from turbotrix to paint your car that color. is this true?

Unless they make the paint, that isn't possible. Even so, a patent only protects you from having other people make money by selling your product, etc. Like a valve spring design or something. Perhaps a rim design. But know that a patent takes a LONG time to get, not only that, it costs a lot. I doubt they have a patent, the guy from turbotrix came on the thread and told me what color it was, etc. In any case, if they did, there's other shades of burnt orange out there, much cheaper ones, too.

Its possible, I work at UPS and they have a patent for the brown color that they use. But its a little complicated, the trademarked colors only apply to uses of those colors in certain marketing. Trademarks, unlike other intellectual property, are violated by using them in a devious way to confuse consumers within an industry. I can use UPS brown in all my hamburger billboards. I can't use it in my delivery-company billboards. I also can't use the UPS logo on my hamburger billboards to imply that UPS sells, for some reason, my hamburgers. Got it?

There are many patents for colors, Cadbury chocolates patented a shade of purple, a company called Mr.Longarm has a patent for the color yellow, also McDonalds has a patent for some specific shades of red and yellow, and UPS has a patent for the "UPS Brown" wich is Pantone color #0607298. So its really possible...

You can paint your car of that same color if Turbotrix has a patent, just dont say its a Turbo Trix shop car!

we definately don't have it patented.. but that doesn't mean we can tell you what colors we used.. he is right, there are numerous shades of orange avaliable.
