For you SCCA racers...
the June Fastrack lists the Evo as an ESP car, for the street prepared class.
That translates to running against Mustangs, normal WRXs, etc with the mods allowed under the street prepared classing (which include ECU chipping/mods so long as boost is not increased, as well as full exhausts/test pipes).
Running locally, I killed the ESP class with stock tires/alignment. That includes several very well set up Mustangs, on race rubber. I get the feeling this is going to be protested, but till it is the Evo is going to be the uber-car for the class.

I does not look like a good idea.
Where is STi at?
No word on the STi yet, and likely it will take a month or two after its actually available to sort things out.
Till then I am going to run in ESP, and show a lot of V8 musclecar guys what 4 cylinders can do...

I haven't found anything in the Fastrack yet on the STi classing, but almost definitely it will be in the same class as the Evo. It took a month to sort the Evp's stock class once it started selling, so expect the STi to be nailed down some time in July, unless they just rubberstamp it after the Evo.
May have to take my Evo soloing
. Even with protest the Evo should be able to run in the class the rest of the year. To bad the scca does not allow turbo cars in club racing. Would be a blast to have a Evo on a road course.
