Clutch Question.

I have 322whp and 331wtq on a Mustang Dyno. I've been to the track one time. Do you guys think my clutch will go out soon, should I get one now? I don't launch often, I WOT shift occassionally, but it's not often. I want to know what I should do, I got some money to blow, I wanted to get a good set of Coil Overs with EDFC, but if it's suggested that I get a clutch, I will buy that instead, and just lowering springs.

It really depends on how you drive, if your not a hardcore launcher then you should be ok for awhile.

personally i would not buy anything that is not broken or almost worn out yet....get the coilover susp. take it to the track and get some use out of it, then when the time comes you will have more experience and it will be ready to roll.

I'm not really a car bowler, I mainly want my car set up for some good power, to pull around turns harder. Accelerate faster, just for fun. I want to try autocrossing. But dragging, I can't really see myself going to the strip more than two or three more times. Also, the reason I asked this clutch question is because I would HATE to have to flat bed it somewhere, i'd rather get the clutch just a little bit before its going to go, but it's not like you can SEE it and know, you get me? But yeah, I have barely 11,500 miles on my car, so I will get the coil overs, like you suggested. Do you still have your clutch? If not, how long did it last?

well if you have a stock clutch right now, i would say go with the clutch beaf that up a little. i mean the guy up there says get the suspension but hey what happens if u get the suspension and a week later your clutch goes out, there goes all your money for something important.
