Dude.. I drove my car on the factory tires in the snow.. its HORRID.. However with a good set of M&S tires that have a bit of bite, it should be able to get through most snow situations.. The traction problem had nothing to do with the car. just the tires.. You just can't beat awd in less than perfect driving conditions..

yes good point jack, But as far as the car set up with ridged frame and stuff, Just woundering how it would react in the snow with some nice winter tires

hey

based on experinces with other cars in the snow, it will probably be pretty good. it will not be as nice as say, an audi, but not much worse either. the stiffer suspension will make it want to brea loose more often on real slick roads, but the long travel suspension should be nice for rutted snowy roads.

i wish there was someone who had put snow tires on and gave a review. it is easy to see how the stock rubber would be horrid on snow and ice. and awd car with those tires would suck.

Snow tires or not, you shouldn't be going fast enough to unsettle the suspension when driving in the snow. You're not a rally driver, don't try to drive like it.

Look in the wheels/suspension area under Evo Tech, there are a couple discussions of snow tires. Basically, the A046s suck in the snow (obviously). The biggest difficulty will be getting 17" snow tires, since 16" rims are generally too small to get over the brakes. If you don't plan on seeing a lot of snow, a good set of performance all-season tires should suffice for winter duty.

Drove it in the snow before with the stock summer tires and they sucked. The AWD helped a little but you most definitely want snow tires or at least some good all-season tires.

Pirelli SnowSport are quite good and they do come in 235/45/17.
I had them this snowy winter (Ontario) and they did the job. They also not bad on a dry road.
