I just traded my ralliart for an 03 evo with 22600 miles. I was looking at the gauge for the oil pressure and it is only showing 20 psi at idle, and it is going over a 100 at full boost. Is this normal? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I just finished installing a new Autometer Oil Pressure gage & sensor & YES the pressures you are seeing is normal.

 

i cant remember for 100% sure but i am sure that MINIMUM pressure at idle when the engine is fully warmed up is only like 12 psi. Mine reads 20 psi when warmed up at idle. So your in good shape.

During the winter you will see higher pressures yet .... a good reason for being picky about what oil filter you use.
