starting problem??

ill get to the point, some times when i go out to start the car it wont kick over at all. no sound at all. not even like its trying to turn over. I changed out the sparkplugs, and those were pretty much shot. The problem stopped for about a week, and today when i went to start it to leave work it did it again.

It usually take turning the key off and then turning it back on once or twice before it starts, when it does this. It doesnt happen all the time now, but before it starts to do it worse i want to nip it in the butt....

any input or suggestions would be helpful. i leaning torwards maybe the start?? but i am not 100% sure

Well, I would say if your car is under warranty and you feel good bringing it back to the dealer, then do so, but with your list of mods, you probably don't want to do that. I'm thinking battery/starter or something electrical? Any electricians at work that may want to take a look? Well, good luck anyways, and let us know how it turns out.

Semper Paratus, and from an American, thanks for your service!

My car died at the autox track. it was the "fuseable" link down by the starter, goes to it. I just had mine hard-wired into the starter, no problems since. 50K miles like that. same problem as you, check the fuse there. under the car next to the starter.

Whatever it is is pretty weird. It was doing it right before we changed the spark plugs (50k on stock)...and let it sit for awahile and all was good. So I doubt that it is something with a fuse, as either the fuse is blown or it isnt....there isnt an inbetween.

But help is on the way and I will bring my meter to get things figured out....

I will report back when we find the troublesome little bugger...

that was just an "intermission", I thought you were checking the fuseable link under the car. did you go look? was the fuse blown? shorted out?

I just re-read it, and can't figure out how the plugs changed it. I say its NOT under your car, but a problem inside your ignition itself. where the key goes. wasn't there a Tech. service bulletin on those?? I would take it to the dealership.

I had the same problem turned out to be a socket that had fallen ontop of my starter. take off the starter cover and check it.
