as some of you may know the carbon fiber are prone to fade/haze when in prolonged sunlight. i have an 03' evo8 that is starting to haze on my vis cfh and stock spoiler. i have other mods to my car as well, do you think they will replace my spoiler under warranty? i have also tried to email vis but have recieved no reply. does anyone have any idea what it would cost to fix (hood). it seems as though sanding it down and re-clear coating it is how it is done. thanks.

My 04's wing is fading hardscore. In a few spots the clear coat is totally gone and the bare carbon fiber is exposed. I just called up the dealership from which I bought the car from and they told me to come in so they can look at it. I didnt even speak with a service manager over the phone but the operator knew about the problem and said they would replace it. She also told me that the wing is on back order.

That is the only wing they have to replace them with.

Just do what I am doing and buy lots of 300, 600, 1200, 2000 grit sand paper and sand it off and then take it to a local body shop and have it re-cleared.

While doing that you could always make the wing totally CF, thats what I am doing.

It will take some time, be patient if you decide to sand it yourself.
