first track day

well Sunday morning i'm going to get my first time slip. i was tuned by shiv at Vishnu with the v390 package but since the I've added some new mods...i get re-tuned hopefully the end of this month. With the mods i have any ideas on a time i should be looking to reach? I'm at sea level, daily temp around 60-65 degrees running 21psi. the mods listed in my sig.....can't wait I'm excited....

what is a v390 signature? if you just have the mods in your sig (TBE, intake, IC & pipes & cams) on 22 psi w/pump gas I'm going to guess 12.5-12.7 with traps between 107-109.

you better post a timeslip now though after you go...

Go ahead and try the dragstrip, but if you want to get the most fun out of your car, take a high performance driving school at a local road racing course. It's a LOT more fun to brake and turn while going fast than to just go straight and fast. It also takes a lot more skill, so be ready to challenge yourself.

The national BMW and Audi clubs run the best schools. It costs $40 to join the club and about $300 for a two-day program with LOTS of track time. I'm an instructor for both clubs and would be happy to give you tips.

Oh, forgot to mention that both Audi and BMW welcome Japanese cars at their schools.

Also, they have a great safety record. Your instructor rides with you in your car and makes sure you are comfortable and safe on the track.
