me neither. I did like the white one @ the Fairfield branch, but I didn't feel like crying everytime I found a new rock chip in it

And I'm all for getting a Cinci Evo branch going

Fairfield had a white (no roof) and a black (w/roof) when I was there. I drove the black one and was impressed enough to part out/trade in my 99 GS. Once I got the GS stuff all worked out I called up to put a deposit on it and got told BOTH blues were spoken for (damn you guys ). So they found another dealership and traded with them so I could still get mine.

I've only seen one Evo on the street, a red one at the Best Buy in Florence. I plan on getting back into Auto-x with my 8, as well as doing some well documented modding.

Lets get something set up for the end of the month.

Well yes actually they do, it's just that the ship dates are not carved in granite.

That's my cousin with the red one at Best Buy

He was in the market for a Mazda 6, and went across the street with me to talk with my salesman about the Evo... bought it the next day

992, you probably already know but you can checkout www.cincyautox.org for times/dates for the auto-x up at Scarlet Oaks. Thats the group Rick from performance runs in. Last time I talked to him he said he wanted all the Evo's from performance to make a showing at the next event (even if they didn't run)

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. I've run with the Cincy SCCA before (cincyscca.com). They're doing events at KY speedway and Mid-Ohio this year. I heard Scarlet Oaks was a really small (read dangerous) lot. What's your take?

Funny you mention the Mazda 6, my wife is getting one as soon as the lease on the minivan is up.

I've never run the course, but it is a bit smaller than some I've seen. There are a few sides with close curbs, so you have to be careful (but then I guess that always applies ). I'd love to take the Evo out at Mid-Ohio and see what it can do. What did you run SCCA with?

Yea, he liked the 6, but wanted pretty much all the options (v6, sport package, wheels, leather, etc), and saw the Evo was only like $5K more. I think the 6 is pretty nice, just prefer to own an Evo

ETA on the Evo'sarrival? I spoke with Matt just yesterday around 1:00 PM. He said they were expecting invoices today or tomorrow, with delivery by mid-late next week.

Wonder if they even have any idea . When my friend bought his they told him it had arrived two weeks EARLIER than they expected...

AAHHHH!!! Someone tell me what's up! Let's see, Heath is off today, Matt says next week, Ryan says 2 more weeks? Who is the sales manager up there? Are we all talking about Fairfield or Kings?

Okey dokey. I just talked with my salesman Matthew @ Kings at about 6:30pm tonight. He had the invoice for my Evo in his hand, and gave me the VIN # so I could arrange insurance on the car prior to its arrival.

He said the invoice listed the delivery date between May 9 (this Friday!) and May 19. This is the most solid answer I've received so far

Looks like the wait is almost over...
