Finally, we have closure. The GM, indeed misread the stock number and quoted me a price on an RS. :-) Glad I did not drive up there and hear that, I was able to sort it out via e-mail.

The dealer was East Providence Mitsu BTW. I was keeping my lips sealed incase I found a gem. :-)

Yeah I don't think that was a misprint, they do that on purpose I think. I called them about an MR at 29999 to make sure it was for real, and they told me over the phone that that was the real deal. I even got there the next day and asked to see the MR and they pointed me to a GSR. When I told them that it was not a MR they started telling me it was not their fault and that the company they use to put their ads on autotrader screwed it up. I was not very happy with that situation.

I ran it on carfax, nothing seems to be wrong with it. Everything on carfax is green.

Tell them this, on the phone: `` When I get there, if this price changes in any way, as you have given. I will press charges for false advertisement. I have recorded your voice on the phone and you are now obligated to sell me that car at the price given to me. ``

I would like to take the time to let you know East Providence Mitsubishi is under new ownership as of November 8th, and we are very interested in keeping our existing customers happy, as well as providing great service, and competitive pricing for our new ones.

Currently, we are in the process of a Grand Opening, and are offering an Internet Sale Price of $23653 on the Lancer Evolution , this is based upon an MSRP of $27174.. There is also a "Loyalty" rebate for current Mitsubishi owners, giving you an additional $500, bringing the final price to just $23153 if you qualify. To give you an idea of monthly payments with no downpayment, they would be in the $419-429 per month range..There is also Financing as low as 3.9%... and some great lease packages starting at only $297 per month!

If you would like to see how our Mitsubishis stack up against other makes & models, click on: http://www.epmitsubishi.com/compare for some great unbiased comparisons by Consumer Reports and other automobile magazines!

One additional item:
We have a 2005 Factory Program Endeavor AWD in stock.. you could get more options with this vehicle, and save thousands if you are interested..take a peek at our website http://www.epmitsubishi.com .. you may find something you like!

Regarding your trade-in, we have no problem taking your trade-in and paying off any existing loan - we have very competitive financing and low monthly payment programs available for all credit needs.

Other items to consider:

1) We are members of a nationwide Dealer Network for New and Preowned vehicles. If for any reason we do not have the vehicle in stock, we can usually get the vehicle for you within 48-72 hours at no additional cost. Currently there are 212,431 vehicles in our Dealer Network.
2) We are so confident in our aggressive, no hassle pricing structure, we offer a price-match guarantee. If any other dealer is offering a lower sale price on an identically equipped vehicle, we will meet or beat that price without hassle.
3) Incentives are subject to change by the manufacturer. Please bring this email with you when you come in, and to eliminate any hassle - be sure to ask for our Internet Department.

Thank you again for your inquiry, and I look forward to hearing from you/meeting you to help you further in your process.

Sincerely,

<I took the name off. I dont know, because I'm parinoid>
