I think they just took their number from the March edition of Road & Track. R&T got exactly 5.1 sec and I believe they might have been the first magazine to actually give the results of their road test.

Now what? If you get there in under 5 they are safe, if it takes you 5-5.99 they are covered too?
Doesn't really matter though, not like you are going to be able to do anything about it as test conditions and professional drivers will be used to document the one time they might have been able to achieve the sub-5 sec time.
