bolts!!!!

ok..i try to install arc heat shield today..
and while taking the bolts out.....this bolt got stuck and wouldnt come out..
then finally it broke leaving the piece in side...WTF..
now the bolt got stuck in the hole on header..
what should i do im really freaking pissed off now...
and the other thing this ****ty bolts woudlnt even fit in after taking out...
help me out here..

You're going to have to tap that beatch outta there.
I have the Buschur sheild and I tried taking it off after a few months and I could tell that they would break if I put enough torque on it.

drill it and tap it. I always coat exhaust related bolts with wd40 for atleast a few hrs before an install. PITA

There's a type of drill bit called and 'easyout'. It's an extractor which is a sort of drillbit but not quite. Used for removing problems such as this one. Just go to a local hardware store and you should find it no probs.

also make sure to use antiseize on all your exhaust components including o2 sensors. coat those threads with the permatex stuff and you'll never have such a problem again.

use antisieze when installing bolts that come in contact with cold/heat/dirt/grime/fluids/etc.

you can also put some penetrating oil on there to loosen up the seizing a bit.

But yeah, need to drill it out. Be careful you don't mess up the threads.
