Question Autometer Boost Gauge Help

Hey everyone. I just recently installed my boost gauge and it was working fine until last night. My dad and I checked the lines for leaks and everything but the boost gauge still doesn't work. When you start the car and it's at idle, the gauge reads 20 vac but when you get on boost, it doesn't get above zero. It was working perfectly last night, but I don't know what happened now. Some help would be appreciated. Also, this is the vacuum line I used to install my gauge.

maybe you have a kink or bind in the line somewhere between under the hood and the gauge.

sounds like a problem with the gauge. It doesn't make sense that it will only read vaccuum.

We took the line out and checked it, and there were kinks. We cut them out and I even went as far as cutting the line to about 1 foot. I then put the gauge on my windshield and connected it but still, the gauge wouldn't read boost.

Are you sure the turbo is building boost? Does the car feel like it has normal power? If you had a leak in the line, it wouldnt show vacuum or boost.

You can try to putting air to the gauge and see if it the boost goes positive to verify the gauge is working correctly. If not you may want to check the nylon line going to the gauge from the boost source. I never really cared for the nylon much myself.

Did you take the car out on the road? Or did you just rev it while parked?

I've heard to do that and I did, but what would happen if one happened to slide off?

If you continued to drive hard afterwards, you could loose fuel pressure and run lean. If you ever noticed the boost gauge not working, it might have blown off so drive the car real easy until you can pull over and check.

No, I didn't just rev it in my driveway to see if was working. It was working about 2 days ago and then the next morning when I was going to work, the gauge wouldn't show boost. It showed vac. but not boost. I am going to call Autometer today and see what they can do for me.
