In the end, the most important question I asked was for the cop to state what the citation read. He gave his idea of it which was going to fast/driving in excess. That is a whole different citation. The judge said that no where in any of the testimony he heard was it stated that we exhibited behavior that would lead him to believe that we were in a "contest of speed or endurance". I had asked the cop if one car was trying to pass another, etc and so did the judge. The cop said "no" we just were going fast and then accelerated even faster. If he would have given us a "speeding in excess" or "reckless driving" ticket we may have had a harder time fighting it. It would have come down to who the judge believed more which in this case probably would have still been the officer even though we were all actually only going 35mph...maybe 40mph at the very max. This is a four lane road and I often get passed like I am standing still doing 35mph. That was actually one of the questions I asked the officer was "How fast do people typically drive on Lose Blvd?" The DA immediately objected it. It was funny cause everytime the DA objected to something the judge said that he was still going to take it into account and he even commented himself that the flow of traffic is well over 35mph on Losey on a regular basis.

Here are some of the questions that I asked. I then asked many of them over again wording them slightly different. My goal was to get conflicting testimony. I also asked many other questions based off his answers on the fly so to speak.

Questions for Officer:
In relation to the racing on highway ticket…
1) How long have you been working as a police officer?
2) How much of that time has been spent enforcing traffic laws?
3) Do you primarily enforce traffic laws or patrol the college campus area, i.e. party patrol? (This was based on me finding out that he primarily works as a party patrol cop in the campus area).
4) How long did you go to school to specialize as a police officer?
5) What length of training related to estimating traffic speeds?
6) Did you radar any of the four cars that were issued racing on highway tickets?
7) Did you pace any of the four cars that were issued racing on highway tickets to determine their speed?
8) How did you accurately/scientifically determine their speed?
9) Where the vehicles parallel to each other when you saw them or all in the same lane?
10) How far where you from the intersection of LaCrosse and Losey when you saw the vehicles drive by?
11) Where the vehicles driving away from you when you determined their speed?
12) Is it difficult to judge speed when something is heading away from you in a straight line especially four cars spaced out over an area of over 100ft?
13) Did the vehicles try to flee or where they driving aggressively when you pulled them over?
In relation to the illegal exhaust…
1) Did you do a decibel check with a noise meter on Mr. Jones exhaust or any of the other vehicles that were issued illegal exhaust violations?
2) How did you determine that the exhaust was illegal?
3) Did you check for a muffler and catalytic converter?

Funny how the judge talked about officers changing the story to suit the case.. I got a "carless driving" ticket for "chirping the tires" when it was my bov that chirped... went to fight it officer changed his story to i was endangering pedistrians walking at 11PM. I lost.

I would pull the stickers off of your car... Every cop in that area is going to be looking for you now. LOL

Good job with the tickets. I got an exhaust and tint ticket... went to court and had the mitsu service manager write a letter that my exhaust was stock. Also had my tint removed and put back legal. I brought all that to court, pleaded not guilty on exhaust and no contest on the tint. Then the DA was like... " I can't understand this stuff. I am not an automotive expert." So I asked the judge what could be done and he said I could just pay the fines.

Good ole Louisiana. They just want their money. So, now I will just let it be illegal and pay the fine.

What the hell is wrong with you?

Why would you pay a fine because the DA is an idiot?

In CA now you aren't required to have a front plate. DMV only sends you one now.

Funny you should say that as I took my car out this weekend for a cruise. First time since the trial. I passed a copy by one of the colleges and within the next 10 minutes had three other ones waiting at various spots while I drove by, lol I actually throw my camera in the car and leave it on while driving around now so if I do get pulled over, I can use it as evidence including recording the entire conversation the copy decides to have with me Plus, I can film all the soccer mom's who think they are in a drag contest with me at every stop light, lol
