You should not be thinking about pre/post flash. But turbo upgrade and cams.
If you have the stock turbo and cams a flash will not change where you should be shifting when at the track. When you upgrade your cams or turbo you will have more up top to use.
But our stockers naturally die out at about 7100-7200 rpm. For racing I have my shift light at 6900, so with reactions I shift at 7kish.

No prb. Flash handles timing, fuel, injectors...not the efficiency of the turbo, or duration of cams. Our cars will fall flat at 7kish as that is as fas as this turbo can carry our cars.
