cold air intake with stock hood?

cold air intake with stock hood?

how safe is this exposed air filter during the rainy times with the hood having that cut out and all?

The way the intake sets it isn't anywhere close to the whole in the hood. Some intakes fit the contour of the hood and others are simply a closed in box it really all depends on which one you chose. Either way it won't matter you'll be safe from water.
