Greddy TT - countdown keeps increasing while driving?

I can't figure out how to stop the countdown from increasing. I'm guessing it has something to do with battery voltage going up while being on throttle? It has some correlation to how much I depress the gas pedal. If I do very light cruising and driving in vacuum the entire time, the countdown doesn't go up. However, it will go up very fast while doing boost pulls.

How do I lock it on one set time so that it doesn't change?

I had the GReddy turbo timer on my 99 Eclipse GS-T, and the longer I drove or the harder I drove, the more time that added on. Its not necessarily a bad thing, so I wouldnt even worry about it. Its not like its going to burn a lot of gas anyways. The whole point of the timer is to allow the oil to settle back into the lines without caking up.

It uses some method to calculate how long it needs to cool your car its normal. Im sure you can set it for a set time though

Just go to the preset mode. You can pick anytime you want and it will never change due to your driving habits.

I had the same issue with the Greddy turbo timer. You can actually set it for auto countdown which adds seconds depending on the hi/low setting, either at 2k or 3k rpm. ( i believe) I just ended up going to the mod where you just set the time manually to always turn off at either 10 sec - 9 min. you could try that also.

Ok, I know that you can press P+S together to take you to P-1 mode or P-2 mode. You can use whichever you like, it doesn't really matter, but on either mode you choose you can just set the time for whatever you like. I believe P1 starts at 1 min, but i think that you press time and it goes up in 10 sec increments. I tend to leave mine at 30 sec, so you have to press the button all the way pass 9 mins and then it will refresh back to 10 sec. Hope this helps. If not you can probably google it and get a printable version of the English Instructions for the Greddy TT.

...or you could just turn it on right before you turn off your car?

hey,
yea i figured that it start to add time when you drive hard and past 3000 rpm. The issue with what I am having is when I take my keys out and lock my car, "not with the lock button" but rather on my driver door, I just lock all four doors and within 2-3 seconds, my car shuts off. This doesnt happen all the time. My question is do you guys know, if the greddy FAT has like a feature where if the time detects that it does not need to cool down the car, it will bypass the countdown and shut off. thanks i need some help

Isn't the Evo's turbo oil/water cooled? Why would they need a cool down period before shutting the car off?

backcountry... if you can tell me how less than 10 oz of stagnate fluid (oil and water) at 200 degrees can cool 20 lbs of iron at 500+ degrees, then I will personally nominate you for the nobel prize for science.

ALL turbos need to cool off. talk to any turbo manufactuer/designer/repair shop and they will tell you the same thing
