2 questions:

1. How many miles can I go before the need to change foam filters?
I have the ARC foam filter if that makes a difference.


2. I've heard of people washing their dirty foam filters. I know it's not advised to do it all the time, but how is it done? Just rinse with tap water and let dry? No soap?

Yes, you can wash.

 

if youre gonna wash it.. do it from the inside out to prevent lodging of debris deeper into the filter.
