I'm thinking a lot about buying one of their "dealership modded" IXs too...let's hear specifics as to why they are no good.

I know that they arent mod friendly if you dont purchase the turbo trix model. Service dept tried telling me that coilovers would deny warranty coverage on my drivetrain!

First I went in to buy a IX. I called them up and asked if they had a specific color in stock because it was an hour and a half drive for me to get there from work. He assured me that there were 2 in stock on the lot. Well, I get there, and there are NONE! That immediatly pissed me off. I dont like being lied to. I decided that since I made the trip anyway, I may as well see what deal I can get. They then said that they could have it in 2 days because it was on a different lot. So, I decided, fine, lets see what happens.

We were negotiating prices and we finally agreed on a price. Then they come back with the papers to sign, and they have me start signing it. As I am reading the contract over, they tell me that they need to jack up the price by $2k!!!! Luckily, I didnt sign anything. I said this is not the price we agreed on. Then they tell me that they cant get the color that I wanted for about a week or 2, but I can pay for them to paint another that color. WTF is that?? So now I am lied to many times. But I figure if I can get the color I want, I will wait the 1 or 2 weeks.

They finally come down to the price that we previously agreed upon. Then I was OK with it, BUT I also told them prior to negotiations that I would be taking the $500 owners loyalty and the $500 college grad discount. I clearly stated that this would come off of the price that we negotiate making the car $1000 cheaper. They said no problem. Then they come back out yet again trying to screw me over on this. They say they cant do it now. I told them that they arent dealing with an idiot. This doesnt even come out of their pockets, this comes directly from Mitsubishi. The manager even came out and started yelling at me trying to play that 'good cop, bad cop' crap. This is when I told them that they just lost my business and they would never get my business.

stay away from Brad Benson. If you want a new evo that has been modded buy a Buschur. Brad Benson sold me an EVO that did not pass MD state inspection, They told me to get it inspected and they will send my a check for what the car needed... That was 6 months ago and I spent $1400 to get inspected... I'm still waiting for my check that I doubt will come

If that is Bell Mitsubishi, then they wont work with you for a price. They tried to tell me that you cant get an Evo for below sticker

The best place I found was All-Star Mitsubishi in Sayreville on Route 35. I walked in with what I wanted to spend, and they gave it to me without any questions asked.

They were decent people and I did like that dealership. I just didnt like how unwilling they were to cut prices.

I hate most dealerships just for things like this!!! They make a TON of money so helping out when they screw up should NEVER be a problem.

Brad Benson sounds like a typical dealership. They are sharks and will bite whenever they get a chance. Southcoast is cheaper than anyone, even after shipping or a trip up there.
