Not what you think, not drivetrain related. A few days ago I was adjusting my seating position just after I got into the car. After starting to drive away, I put all of my weight (220 lbs) on the inner side of the seat, so I could adjust my creased shorts as the stock IX seat covering is very grippy. I heard a fairly loud pop noise that came from under the seat. Everything with the seat seems normal, and from inspection I could not see any damage to the seat or any broken parts lying below. Anybody heard of this happening before and know what might have happened? Thanks in advance!

 

I had the same thing happen in my 06 MR. I looked to see if anything had broken; but it didn't look like it. I wrote it off as the car 'breaking in'. : |
