supz dudes. i was looking for a catback for my evo IX and was wondering how much DB does the legalis r type evolution make? reading some post by some of the other forum guys. the stock exhaust makes around 92dbs??? and on fujitsubo website and other sources, its makes 88db and 84 db while idling. so does it means its quiter then the stock exhaust? living in cali, is a death wish for moding.

 

It's the quietest, but there's no way someone can just randomly give you a DB number. That depends on your mods and many other factors. No way is the stock exhaust 92db at idle...it's as quiet as can be. 95db is the limit in CA, and that's EXTREMELY loud. Most exhausts stay under 95db even with a full catless TBE. You're just talking about a cat-back here, which is very quiet, doesn't make much power, and costs about $1000.
