Get a long range silent alarm that alerts you to any disturbances, and a .45 semi auto pistol. That should do the trick =)

Wouldn't you need a key that fits the ignition for this idea to work?

i read in a magazine that if people try to steal a car via towing, the best way to beat that is to park ur car with the wheels turned at the extreme left or right position (whatever makes it harder to tow.) im sure it can beaten by a really smart car thief but i do this all the time. just in case

or also park to where a flat bed cannot line up in front or behind you if possible.....but if they get inside the car then all they have to do bust the steering lock and take off the e-brake.

Sorry to hear about your car man. That is really low for people to do. I hope you purchased GAP coverage. I have been really fond of the 2-way paging remote alarm systems becuase they will warn you if someone gives you a door ding, let alone steals your car.

I think you can get the Viper system for around $200, and a shop will charge probably another $200 to install it. Sometimes shops will up the price to 3-400 and say you get free installation...same difference. Seems like a worthy investment to keep your car protected to me.

Stay away from the remote start systems!
