SOS!!! Vacuum tube through firewall on a IX??!!

I've got the Evo sitting in the garage torn apart trying to install this damn boost gauge. I can't find where to go through the firewall. I searched and found some great how-to's but they were for VIII's. The gromet that I keep reading about that is behind the glovebox is UA. All I see when I look back there is pading.
Any help would be appreciated!

The gromet is at the same place as the VIII's. If you would point your flash light straight in from the upper right side of the glove box you should see it.

Its There, look for it in the Engine bay and put a Close hanger or some sort of stick that you can use to pull stuff through with.

The hole is there, behind the passenger front strut tower.

Since I have a stereo sytem and I ran my power wire though that hole, I just drilled a hole near though the firewall near the throttle cable.

did you Make sure to Put some electrical tape and silicone around the wire. I did that on my freinds car and about 3 weeks later the Firewall wore a hole in the wire and it started shorting out. Very Dangerous and that was a Stupid mistake on my part, I didn't have a grommet.

Got it..found the gromet finally. I was thinking that I should have been looking to the left of the ECU towards the middle of the car. When I went back and read it again I saw that it said go back to the engine bay and look behind the strut tower. There was no way I was fitting my hands in there to get it out. Luckly my 5' 105lbs wife was able to reach it no problem LOL.
