Where would the end of that duct go to? I mean how would you incorporate a filter into that kind of induction system?

 

The purpose of the funnel was to direct cold air into the engine area, usually to the open pod filter. The "washer liquid can" have to be removed in order to install this.

 

That particular product looks like it is only designed to mount to the bumper and take in air. The actual direction of the air flow will be determined by whatever ducting you choose to add onto it, and so it can be directed upwards into an intake, or straight back onto the backs of the rotors to aid in brake cooling.

 

Yea...its a intake duct. Evodave makes one too i believe, but his is less bling
