How much lower do they read? I made 344 on a DD.

 

not sure but that number seems low for the mods u have

 

my car only dyno 304whp. on DD i think is to low compare to other dynos.I was expecting 360whp

 

My shop said that youd have to add 18 percent to compare it to like AMS's dyno?

 

Well I have shop with DD and they do show lower and significantly lower but are very accurate compared to other dynos.

The other day a Porsche GT3 came in for a Dyno run and the guy had mentioned that the Factory had rated it at 308.4whp and guess what it showed on the DD? 308whp. The owner was surprised to where the 0.4whp went and we looked but could not find

Then there was a Dodge Ram SRT10 which if I am not mistaken rated at 505hp at the crank and on the DD dynoed at 425whp.

I cannot say more about the DD dynos accuracy. Lot of folks from Australia and the world over swear by it.

I have yet to dyno my car, as there is extensive work going on with it.

 

my 03 car dynoed 304 whp on DD,

272/272, Greddy V spec IC, TXS dp, HF cat, 3" Ex, HKS EVC @ 21.5 psi, Apexi intake

 

if it makes you feel ay better...

my car makes 336 on a dyno dynamics...
368 on a mustang dyno (same day less than 40 minutes later than the above run)...
412 on a land and sea dyno (and 443 ft/lbs)...

so yes, they all read differently... it depends on the operator, how the car is strapped, fans, etc... i have found dyno dynamics machines to be very consistant from one machine to another (and very consistant with the ame car dyno'd year round)...

oh, the mustang dyno that i ran on was calibrate two days after Buschurs Mustang from what i was told.

 

that still puts you at 405 with alky and a ams 50 trim that's is around 100whp short. what shop do you go to?

 

DD is a Load dyno, more accurate and better for tuning.

 

Check out http://www.dyno4mance.com. They have tons of evo dyno videos on the DD. That could give you a good idea of the consistency. I went there today, but did not dyno. Stock '03's will run about 215-230hp on a DD from what I've seen.
