some of you should put a "sponsored by Visa" decal on your car.

I buy things with my credit card, but I pay it in full at the end of every month. I would never do that minimum payment BS that is like throwing moey down the toilet. The APR that they will charge you will make the mods like 40% more expensive by the time ur done paying the interest.

The Evo doesn't get mods unless I have the cash in hand. Helps I still don't have a credit card at 27 years old.

Its funny how society has completely changed with the introduction of the Credit card. Its all about "buying now, paying later" which in alot of peoples cases gets them into trouble.

I'm only 25, but if you don't have the money to make a purchase, you save up until you can afford it. Only way I'll take advantage of a credit card, is if they're offering a 0% offer for purchases or Balance transfers. You can really take advantage of the Credit cards if you get a balance transfer offer at 0% with a minimum or low fee, deposit as much $$$$$ as your credit limit will allow into your checking acct, and then put the funds into a high yield savings acct, invest it (or the like). Leave the funds there, pocket the interest accrued then take the funds and pay off the cc when the 0% term is up! Use the funds you made for whatever then

Dont really have a lot of mods in my car.. I go to the track quite a bit. Track+maintenance is the killer for me.. I could pay my CC off, but then I wont have any money. I will stop going to trackdays after next month until I payoff my CC. It should only take 3-4 months to payoff.. Then the cycle continues

Turbo kits do not neccessarily cost $2000-$4000. It depends on how much you fab up yourself.

I just turned 24, and one of my credit cards has a limit fof over 20k, so i must be doing something right. As long as you keep buying things on the credit card regularly, then you develop payment history. I pay it off because i cant stand paying finance charges.

Your wrong. I work for Bank of America. If you make your payments in full every month of just the minimum you are still building good credit with all 3 bureau's.

I buy nearly everything with the cc and pay it off every 2 weeks (cc is payable easily via online banking).

Basically, I have all the bills + savings figured out in 2-week increments, which tells me point-blank how much money from each paycheck is expendable. Then, when I want something, I know how much it's going to cut into the play money for the next two weeks.

I make sure to have plenty of room on the cc in case there's an emergency that the savings can't cover.

I'm sure this system is the nerdiest thing posted today.
