HKS 272 Or 280 Cams Exhaust Side On a IX

I have a IX and want to get some cams but i know you can't change the intake side unless u get Works cams that are like 1100 and i dont think its really worth it but, i want to change my exhaust said but i'm not sure whether 280 or 272 would be better, because i heard that the idle doesnt change at all on the IX's. let me know what ya'll think

Eh? Why did you only think you could get cams from Works? They weren't the 1st to come out with cams, and those cams aren't even theirs - they are Cosworth cams. Both Turbotrix and GSC came out with IX cams before Works had any to offer, and they don't cost $1100. You can get the GSC 272s or 280s for $599. You're in Maryland and thought Works had the ony IX cams? Turbotrix is in NJ, and GSC is in south Carolina, yet you only keep up with an overpriced California vendor? Weird.

You can get the Cosworth ones from RRE for around $600. I think VividRacing also sells them for like $650. Dont need the valvetrain upgrade unless you are going passed stock rev limiter is what WORKS is claiming. Havent heard much from RRE about the valvetrain upgrade.

If you are putting cams in your car, you are probably going to be exeding the stock limit.

GSC, yes. Cosworth, no. I don't know how tracker has heard good info when they haven't been dyno proven yet. HOpefully, they work very well and don't require the upgraded springs/retainers, but we don't know yet. The GSC cams made 20whp or so.

Your idle will not change. When I installed my cam I did an o2 housing and ported my exhaust manifold as well, all in the same day.
The cam made me loose 3in of vacuum, also with the porting and o2 housing, while driving home the car picked up 3 psi of boost and I didn't even have a boost controller. 22 psi stock. I put the controller on the next morning and turned it down to 19 before I got tuned.

Yah, I used a question mark. I didn't know they were available, and the GT35R guy just blurted them out like they were, so I asked the question to hopefully verify the information.

Warr asked a question, he did not state a fact. Read his post again.

As of about a month ago, JUN responded back to me saying they are undergoing development of their IX cams. They do not have a estimated release date.
