I got a warning yesterday for getting in the turning lane too soon! It was bumper to bumper traffic and at the last light before my house less than a 1/4 mile I got in that lane and made a left, he pulled me over right in my driveway!

sounds like me, only i passed a cop in a 45 doing 45, signaled, looked, merged into his lane, kept the signal on, looked, merged into the turning lane (deliberately paused in his lane so as to not make it look like i was driving recklessly)... then made a right turn onto the street i was getting to... he pulled me over for driving recklessly lol, saying that when i merged into his lane that i didnt use care because i forced all the cars including him to increase their following distances to make room for me although when i merged into his lane, there was probably a 6 to 7 car length gap. LOL, so i explained to him that that is ridiculous and then i said i figured that since he was an officer, i figured his safe driving techniques would more than account for the spacing. The look on his face was priceless... he let me go with a warning

That's not reckless driving in the first place. If it was, no one would *ever* be able to change lanes if there was anything even resembling traffic.

which is why i told him it was ridiculous... and there were maybe 2 cars in front of me, and at most 5 behind him... i think it was an attempt to harrass the "import" guy who obviously must be racing his car

Well, there were 2 stabbings, 11 cop cars, 2 ambulance, a fire truck, and basically a gang fight outside my house...because of the dumb *** neighbors.
