Those who have Takata Harness

Thoses who have the Takata harness for their Lancer Evolutions , i am going to be purchasing them very soon my questions are . i heard there are two short and long which ones should i get for my Evolution 03 and what is the different once they are fitted in ? and also 4 point to 5 point what is the differents there and does it matter once i get them put in to car. i know these are noobies questions but really want to hear what Evolution owners have to say about the fit and style

i have the long version which is attached to the back seats... And to get 5th and 6th points all you do is buy the extra attachment and bolt it to the car in the front (probably thinking the front 2 bolts that you use to bolt your front seat

the short version is for the harness bar right?
and long version it to fit on the backseats seatbelts right?
4 point doesnt have that one strap between ur legs?
and the 5 point does?

thats what i think about the harness... plz some1 tell me if im right or wrong

with that said i'm going to be attaching my to the Harness bar i purchased and should i purchase the 4 point harness if i don't want to buy the extra attachment . will that make such a diffrents or just the same diffrents. if you have time can you please post a picture of the harness in your Evolution / this goes for anyone else i just want a really clear view of how it would look and how everyone is putting them into their cars

yes thats right, and you dont want the "nut strap" its not needed unless you plan to make some incredibly fast runs...John Shepherd style, or funny cars...just my 2cents

Thank you i appreciate that advice / one other thing do i get the short strap because i'm going to be mounted on my Harness bar or get the long one or makes no diffrents

get the short ones to mount on your harness bar.. the long ones mounted to the back floor/seats will injure you more in a crash...

one last question what is the diffence between mph340R and mph340WR which one should i get i already know i want short length 4point harness / i just don't know what the diffrence is between the mph 340r and mph 340wr can some one please explain ?

Just a tip, if you ever plan on dricing fast get the 5/6 point attachment. You wouldn't want to submarine, youd be in a boatload of shi* if you did.

I would highly recommend the addtional point. The anti-submarine strap is extremely important in making sure the hip strap doesn't ride up and cause severe internal damage in the event of a crash that's severe. It's one extra strap that could make the difference between you surviving a crash and seeing a thread of an Evo member that's passed on.
