Quick question. Does the evo have just a keyless entry or an alarm as well? Also, what does it sound like when you lock and unlock the doors? Is it that high-pitched beep beep sound or does it make a sound from the horn? Does it beep only when you lock it or does it do it on unlocking it too (as in toyotas and lexus)? Thanks.

 

it's a horn beep... beeps when locking, but i deactivated the beep... cause it's damn annoying...

the car does not have an alarm, unlike my Galant...

 

ok thanks. too bad for the lack of alarm.... i was hoping for a toyota/lexus beep beep. those sound better than horn beeps. but thats just me.

 

how do you deactivate that horn beep?

 

i don't own an evo, but i think you have to press the lock button for a few seconds. thats how you do it on my altima.

 

Read your manual it tells you how.
