City Mitsu in Jax rocks - caliper replacements, wing replacement...

Went in to get my front rotors turned for the 2nd time today in 9 months - they did it for free.

I showed them where my calipers are discoloring and where my wing has less then a dime sized fade in it - they ordered front calipers and a new wing for me.

Very pleased with their service - this is the 2nd time they have taken care of things without me even having to do anything but show them.

BTW - they have a crap-ton of Evos - all IXes. Dunno what trim level. This is the one on Atlantic near 9A.

City Mitsubishi in Jax is really good about warranty work. I've had front seats replaced, calipers, wing, and various other work/replacements done.

Parts dept. knows me very well up there, swear I've bought enough parts to build a new Evo

They don't deal much on price, though. I ended up buying from Daytona Mitsubishi (sales rep Jimmy Jack) because they gave me a much better price (~$1800 OTD difference). I wanted to buy from City Mitsubishi since they're right around the corner from me, but that kind of difference made the drive worth it.

I don't understand City Mitsubishi's mindset. A number of those Evos have been sitting on the lot for 6 or 7 months.

what was the warranty again for 03-04 evo? i thought i went to 25k or something. Will i be able to do my calipers too? I need my wing clearcoated too.

they warranted my clear coat peeling on the body when i had like 20k miles.

AFAIK, all 04s and the last of the 03s have a 5 year / 60k bumper to bumper.

It's really absurd for them to not honor warranty claims - mostly because they get paid at the same rate as if you had to pay for the service from Mitsu. I've never understood why they would bother not covering warranties - and it shows it's a dealer issue not a Mitsu issue, IMO.

But I'm with you - they do a great job at City.

this is good to hear, makes me hope that they won't void my warranty on non-performance related parts. Is it worth going to them for brakes or do they charge an arm and a leg? I have to admit that the sales office there still makes me queasy. (well the one on Atlantic)

Not sure on the brakes. I do my own brakes. I wouldn't pay for brembo pads again, they wear out quickly and create ungodly amounts of brake dust. Switched to HP pads and have no complaints what-so-ever.

the mitsubishi dealership here in Brunswick GA, about 30min north of jacksonville FL, is really good also. The aluminum MR shift knob in my evo got screwed up and I took it to the parts guy and he looked at it and said "i will be right back" 30 seconds later he tossed me a new MR shift knob and said "here ya go". No paper work or nothin. I know its only a shifknob but it was the way he replaced it that made me laugh.
