To answer your second question....no. They're only available in white from the manufacturer. There's nothing stopping a guy from buying them and having them powder coated though.

You're very welcome, man. Amazing how quickly you got those rims to the USA no problem and now you even have the car to go with them! White is the enthusiasts / sports color in Japan. Good choice!

The tire I would like to see on the EVO is the Falken Azenis. They are not available in 235/45/17.

erikgj,
I have Falken Azenis ST215 in that size on my car, However, if you want really exceptional grip, I also run Bridgestone RE540s, and these are something else entirely (are also really loud).

S4awd

It was about time to post a picture of your evo...
Can you post some more pictures?

It looks really nice in white!

For the tyres, the advan a046 is already better than most of the sports tyres that you will easely find in us, the s03 would compare to the yokohama avs, where the a046advan are already in the advan range.

But if you want road legal slicks like the a032, but in 18", you can get the yokohama a048, or the pirelli p zero corsa.

to get the a048, you need to go with a 245 width though... i'm not sure how that will work with the +30mm offset though, cause that already has pushed you out .5" towards the fenders...

I don't know much about the tires that are used, but changes to the suspension will def affect the handling....I think that its your suspension that should look into adjusting...

my 2 cents

what do you all think about the kumho ecsta mx's as a direct replacement of the stock advans? at least for summer/track use? and then have a second set of wheels/tires for the wet/snow season..

they come in 235/45/17 and seem pretty damn good for $121 a pop!

The answer to this would most likely be something like Volk or Speedline Corse magnesium wheels. I'm sure there are others but those are the two most prominent magnesium wheel makers I can think of.

s4wd,

Any chance you might be selling your stock rims? Or are you keeping them as a winter set and/or have you already sold them? I'm looking for another set of the stock rims so I can swap 'em once winter comes around.. let me know, thanks.
