Although if it was only because of evos getting stolen, my comprehensive should have gone up but it stayed exactly the same. My collision and liability doubled. That leads me to beleive its from too many evos getting wrecked.

My insurance went down.

Perhaps your insurance went up do to higher insurance costs in your location? Example, more wrecks in the area, increase crime rate, etc...

There are many factors in calculating the insurance, the car, the location the car resides, the drivers record, multiple policy discounts, etc....

$2 month come on you pay more than that on gas, and knowing that i can put the hurting on porches and other sportscars makes me feel kinda good . come on we save all that money and bought an evo that comes with the performance that many high dollar exotics dont have and the only downside is a slight increase in insurance premiums?!?!?!??! that the sound of the worlds smallest violin

IF your complaining about a $24 yearly increase on your insurance premium then you shouldn't be driving an evo especially if the thread-starter has enough money to have AEM ems + ams 50 trim turbo kit with all supporting mods...

whoa fiesty fiesty - take care of yours man - i usually knock you young bucks about this - but hey, if you can afford one, more power to you...it's just that realistically speaking if my parents did buy one for me as well as for the insurance and gas, etc...i wouldn't do that to them - most of us pay our own way and sometimes little hikes like this one makes for yet another whiny "why does my evo cost so much _______(fill in the blank with insurance, fixing, gas,oil change, etc) - even then, i find it hard to see how you can justify paying that much when you have so much coming up ahead (either college, trade school, dating, etc)...

anyway - how much does an sti cost to insure? I remember paying about 800 or so a year for a civic coupe in chicago (single, mid 20s) - and thought at the time my evo was at a good rate (950 /yr - married multi car, house ins also)...and darn it gas is still >2.00/gal

Akemi27- Yah, but the problem is my parents are extremely rich. I live in a very upclass neighborhood with a 1.1 million dollar house. So EVERYONE thinks that I am spoiled and get basically anything I want... It's SO anooying and I just get made really easily when people comment about mommy and daddy paying for everything. I pay for nearly everything I own (minus meals and cell phone bill) but i pay my insurance (im only 17), my car, and gas. I do have two part time jobs, so it works for right now . And, my grandparents pay for college for me as long as I pass... They have for all of my cousins. No worries in the cash area for awhile, so why not get an Evo if i can easily afford it? :P

I highly recommend once you get into college to keep your focus primarily on your education/grades not on your job, because most if not all of my friends have had their working schedule clash with their classes and their grades have suffered as a result.

Whatever car you get keep the shiny side up..

Yah i definitely agree with you on that. I will be working very little in college (just enough to pay rent and get by happily) with a Evo already fully paid off.

aah there you go...g/l with school - admirable that although you're pretty much loaded you're still holding down a couple of gigs in the mean time...take care of yourself and don't forget peer pressure's evil! and of all the cars you could've had - glad it was an evo
