Car accident, it wasnt my fault. Pics included

Ok so I am just thinking what a good day I am having, passed inspection with no cat and an o2 simulator, checked out a 6000 sq ft shop my friend just leased, on my way in rush hour traffic to go have dinner with my fiancee. As I am driving I had to come to a stop suddenly since the car in front of me stopped. All of a sudden I hear this loud schreech of tires and I look in a review and see a man on a motorcycle and before you know it I am rear ended. I jump out the car first to make sure he was alright, didnt give a crap about the car. He fell off the bike slightly but he was fine. I take a look at his bike as were picking up this heavy Harley Davidson and I see no damage other than a blinker broken off and the protective glass which snapped back into place with ease. I double check make sure he is fine. Then I take a look at my car, and I was like OMFG!!! how could his bike have such minimal damage and my car gets sliced up like a Samurai did it. I then notice what sliced my car up. When his blinker broke it pretty much left a sharp edge and cut thru my rear quarter. Pics below.

Hhaha I will ask him. He looked about 50 yrs old. He just callled me right now and said that damage to his bike was 7500 dollars although no visible scratches and he drove away on it. The frame was bent.

Mchuang- good luck gettin her fixed and yeah those harley parts are pretty expensive. So I wouldnt be surprised if it really is 7k in damage to the hog.

I have heard that its harleys trade mark and they are made that way so the noise isnt a problem? I guess if our cars came from the factory with a 3" full exhaust then we would be ok.....

but that still doesnt justify big hick trucks with dual 3" exhaust rumbling down the road and cops giving no attention to.....Its hyporitical I think

*Sorry about the car, that freakin blows........

Harley parts are so expensive that I wouldnt doubt for a second if the frame was even a little out of wack the cost to repair would be that high, hell a new harley v-twin motor costs like 8 grand, I could get a new 4g63 and Transmission for that much.

maybe harleys are loud so that people will know they are around. they are loud as a safty issue so they don't get hit

yeah and while im looking all around to see where the hell that obnoxious noise is coming from, I could potentially hit someone else. It is not necessary for those things to be as loud as they are. Some are to loud to even have a conversation with the persom next to you. Yet IM getting pulled over for my stock exhaust being "to loud" (and yes that really happened. I made a thread about it).
