an EVO 9 but I live in Canada. I was thinking though, right now I'm working in Louisianna but I didn't get any permits or SIN since its offshore. When I went through customs I had a letter provided my my company stating I'm going to work for them.

So, I do have a friend who can provide me with address, but I guess I need a US driver licence. Could I get one as an working alien without SIN? And could I get it in a short period of time....like a month (my contract finishes Dec 20th)? What I was thinking if possible buy the car here, register it here, hopefully be able to insure it, and drive a 30 hr trip back to Canada. I guess I would have to drive it back for inspection and if I wanted to sell it.

Now you see how desperate I am...too bad I don't know anyone closer to Canadian border.
