Defi Install

Just installed a defi amber boost gauge...only one problem the actually control unit doesnt store the peak boost ? it seems to reset when i turn the car off...and as well it doesnt do its closing sequence...not that big of a deal i probably just have 2 wires spliced wrong? input would be great i tapped in the cigarette lighter wires fyi. um also as well the biggest reason i am posting is that my max boost is 22? whats everyone else boosting at? i have an evo IX

You have two types of power in the car; constant, and accessory switched. The Defi control unit needs both so it knows when the key is switched off so it can do its closing sequence, and it needs constant power to retain the memory.

I boost 24psi in winter with a VIII. Stock. Not kidding.

You have the red wire for the controller connected a switch 12v source instead of a constant 12v source.

Orange - switched 12v
red - constant 12v

You probably didnt hook up the constant power wire to the battery. So when you shut the car off the memory is cleared. I used the wires to the cigarette lighter for illumination, ignition, and ground. I tapped the constant power feed off of the radio harness. Believe it was the read wire with black stripe.
