Its a wonderful car, but it can have some quirks if you are unlucky.

I also brought my car from Japan, without warranty or even the dealer knowing nothing.
Within 8000 km, my turbo blew(mag wheel one), my rear shocks leaked. otherwise the car is fantastic.

You just have to be prepared to stick it out if bad things happen.

If you don't get a warranty, then that gives you the green light to mod your car to insane limits.

The car is reliable. But if you track use your car heavily, then the tranny might cause you some problem

its staying stock, i dont have another car, just small cosmetic changes eg wheels and CF lip
So theres no major problems with the car in general, I had a bike before and there were several problems with it, found it that these were problems facing all the bikes ( 05 R1's ) so decided id do a bit of a search this time before i buy.

thnx

The IX Kick's a** and even now with the new regulations for loud cars the cops know what they are and leave you alone.

Reliability wise...You may be a bit paranoid because of the warranty issue.. change your fluids on regular intervals, drive it they way it should be driven (like any other car) and it wont let you down.
IX all the way... P.S there a waiting list so hurry lol

They are still reliable if you mod it, just make sure it's tuned right and you do the preventative maintenance.
