Why subject your poor car to such needless abuse?

it could be the breaks or not...one time i was in hurry and accidentally floor the gas up to 6,000rpm w/ no clutch and i smelled somethin but eventually it went away, in your case, AWD doing donuts, im not sure, i just thought my simple experience help a little.

Could have ***zored the clutch, the tranny, the diffs, and the engine. Great job ruining a 30000$ car.

You can do a lot of damage in 10 seconds. A year or two ago there was a thread about a guy who blew a clutch to bits and pieces in less than 100 miles. From what I remember he was just driving the car from one dealership to another.

The acrid smell is the clutch and it could take a day for it to go away. Your car has a rev limiter (unless you had it removed with a flash) or missed a shift, so engine damage is not likely. If you can drive your car without any noticeable vibration or pulling then most likely all you did was reduce the life of your clutch. We can't tell you whether your clutch has 6 years or 6 minutes left. That depends on how your drove before and how much slippage you allowed. Just drive the car and you'll figure it out.

There, fixed it for you. It's one thing to do burnouts, it's another to panic like a little sissy after doing them... just funny.
