The two things that bothers me the most is having to look at the instrument cluster and see that ugly cheap Korean Daewoon/Kia (No insult for Korean people) looking lancer fake gauge on the top right corner.

I would rather have either nothing on that gauge spot or either have a warning light signal. The lancer logo looks Walmart cheap.

Additionally The engineers that designed the knob that adjust the lumbar angle deserve to be put into jail to learn what comfort standard feels like in a cell. Could had they put a lever instead?, could had they reposition the knob so that you don't have to break your freaking back and arm trying to reach it? Goshhh.

Last but not least, the cruise control, oooooh myyyy gooooddd. Can some one explain me again how Mitusbishi engineers did not even offer a cruise control for the Evo? Are they out of their mind ?. I can see not having cruise control for other markets but for the USA with long highways and no cruise control? completely unaceptable guys.

My .2c

Carlos

I wish they did this for the IX SE
Bulletproof 6-Speed with revised ratios
JDM Auto-climate control w/ 2 Din options from the factory
Better fitting JDM Recaros with the same trim as the current SE
CF or flat black center console so that it matches the CF Trim
Mivec on the exhaust side and also allow for lift control on the cams on the both I/E sides

This is far fetched but I would have loved a mitsu engineered BB Twin Scroll 20G in a true TD06 housing, and to help spool it, a switch activated anti-lag system a real anti-lag not that air pump one that they got in Japan right now.

In the almost 40k miles I have only had my car to a dealerships twice. Once for a tranny leak at 3300 miles or so, and once at 27k for all the fluids changed out. I can't believe how many people whine about the warranty. When my tranny let go do you think I would take it back to get another stock one? Not on your life.

My car has been meth injected for about 20k and i still have yet to have problems with the engine. When at the track i shift damn near 8.5k with 30psi still on the stock block, head, intake.

It's all about how you take care of your car. These cars need a little extra attention all of the time to perform well. What people seem to lack is proper tuning for mods, some do it themselves others get base flashes which i have a problem with and some just put on parts without doing anything mapping wise.

But to stay on topic the one thing that I would like changed is the seats. They are cheap and pretty uncomfortable.

I know, I know...just wishful thinking. From a performance standpoint, all it does is add weight = But being on a road trip on a brisk early morning drive...its nice to crack the sunroof and have a little air rush w/out opening windows.

It would fit nicely between the straifs that run down the length of the aluminum roof

how i dream....if my GSR had a 6spd as stout as the supra's i'd be a happpy motherfu**er.

also wished Mitsu followed subaru and went bigger than 2.0Liter. look at what the 4g63 is capable now with just 2.0L, and add 500cc more to that, or heck, make it an I6TT.

in all honesty i love my car, and there is really not much i want to change about it.

My best guess is that the last time open road was seen in Japan was approximately 1971, and thus eliminating the need for cruise control in the JDM. MMNA might have wanted to clue them in that here in the US there are still some roads in Montana and North Dakota that have momentary openings in traffic and thus cruise control would prove useful on.

I'm just really pissed when I'm at a track day and I have to keep rowing the gears at Watkins Glen rather than just setting the cruise at 115mph and kicking back and relaxing...

I'd love it if I could trust my local dealership's mechanics. I'd just like to get honest, correct, legitimate answers to issues I run into with the car. It'd be nice to be able to get things fixed locally instead of looking at a trip to a dedicated shop any time something semi-interesting is wrong.

Obviously, if they all knew wth they were talking about the warranty situation might improve too.

Other than that, I would have appriciated a stronger clutch/tcase/tranny. Staring down $8,000+ for a no downtime swap when it all starts to go is rough.... but hey, you've gotta pay to play

1) Lower roof line.
2) Hid's a stand alone option and not SSl.
3) Reclining lever on the Recaros.
4) A jdm look bumper that meets us crash standards. Not just a VIII Bumper that
they decided to use. Looking at my IX from the side, the bumper's "curve"
complements the VIII's front bumper but not the IX's.

Nothing major. As a whole, the car kicks ***!

all black interior, including headliner and all pillars.

lower roof line, because this thing is way too tall and looks like a box. Rectangles look cool, boxes are square.

1. Better, readable gauges on the main panel.
2. Better clutch, tranny.
3. Standard Bilstein shocks
4. Cruise control, not that I would use it much in this car.
5. HID's
6. A little more comfortable seat.
