my antenna broke off -_- what to do

I was washing my car and I was in a rush to use the foam brush and I knocked the antenna lightly but I guess it was hard enough to break it right off at the base. Now there is a piece of metal stuck in the opening of the VG and there is nothing sticking out so I can't use pliers to twist it out.

Is there anyway to get this piece of metal out so I can put a new antenna in?

I'd think you would need a really powerful magnet. There must be a way to get these things out. I can't be the only one to ever had his antenna break.

I wish I could take a picture but it's nighttime so I'll try to describe it.

you know how the antenna ends at a certain point and there's a bit of metal sticking out to screw into the hole in the roof? Well, that piece of metal is still stuck in there, so it fills in the hole where the antenna is supposed to be. It's basically flat instead of there being a hole, because there is a piece of metal stuck inside.

18 bucks!!!!!!!!!!!

lol man that's a lot of money to drill a hole! But I'm glad to hear it's an easy fix.

Maybe I should leave the vortex generator without the antenna .... hmmm...

thanks man.

I'm going to check it out, but right now I'm just wondering if the car looks better with the vortex generator and no antenna

I still get reception! lol

its not going to be as clear.... in some places... if you dotn drive far then ur fine... but in the middle of no where or some parking garages your gonan be SOL. if u want a better looking one get a forge or honda s2k one...

i had a forge til i got stolen, worked as good as the stocker.

when u go in to get it drilled, take the replacement to make sure it fits.. cause he might have to keep resizing it..

cheers!

get a Mini drill bit.. drill a tinny hole directly in the middle, and use a rivit screw (or what ever its called) screw it in, and the metal piece should screw out with it (the threads go the opposite way of the screw..so screwing it in should take the other screw out)

What the guy above told you, just get a small titainum drill bit, drill in about a half inch, get a small metal screw with a phillips head, put it in the hole and then pull out the whole peice that was broken off, if it wont come out and the screw just backs out, use a little super glue to fix the small metal screw into the piece your trying to get out.

basically its like snapping a bolt in a threaded hole. you need a screw extractor.
