Had the EVO 2 months and...
Wednesday night I went to take my friend for a quick ride to show him my car. So I asked him what road was good around his house to do a run or two. So we go to a road its nice and wide so I luanch the car and i stop at the top of third gear. I begin to slow down because my friend tells me theres a turn in the road. Ok no problem, what he doesnt tell me is theres a dead end! There was no signs posted or anything! I sent my evo through a gaurd rail and about 50 feet into the forest. Didnt hit any trees and we both got out un-injured. No airbags went off but the car is totaled. The wheels hit a curb and the whole suspension is about three inches back! It sucks! The guy at the autobody said I can take what ever I want off of it. The insurance should pay for a replacement but it is extremally upsetting and depresssing. I worked since 14 to buy this car with my own money. It is a lesson learned but an expensive one at that. The officer that responded to the accident had fun ripping on me for two hours and told me he had to fill out an evaluation of the trails of kryptonite I left behind. It really sucks but no one was hurt thank god. The motor is fine and still turns on along with the whole back of the car is mint.

EDITED: since my math sucks.
Glad ur ok, but this is a little your fault also. I never drive like a crazy guy down a road i dont know no matter who tells me what. Just because you know about how long it will take you to stop doesnt mean ur buddy in the passenger seat with the grin on his face does and will warn you. FYI
wow..that sucks..probably hurts you deep since you know you were the one who worked your *** off to get that car...not your parents. props to you for that...the car can be replaced..people can't. good luck!

yep you got it. At 14 I didnt know Evo's were comming to the states and wanted to buy a used 3rd gen rx-7. At 16 I bought my first car (A mazdaspeed protege) I modded that a little and decided to stop wasting my money on it. So I sold that and the mods on it and had a good chunk of change to buy the EVO. Wish I could turn back time now....

Glad to hear you're ok. My dad use to lecture me "No one can teach you a better lesson than you teaching yourself" everytime I'd get in trouble and how true it is. One thing you should of never done was never speed up in unfamilar territory. Hope everthing works out for you. Insurance is going to be a killer after this.
WOW man that really sucks. I remember when I was 16 I crashed my 91 SE-R the third day I had it. I was devistated. And you crashed and evo! Man that would really suck
thanks god for insurance!
